Pleadings to be Processed in the Judges' Office

Note: The Court is closed to the public due to the health emergency. Items may be filed via email (probateservice@wcpc.us), FAX (313-967-4030), or mail.

Note: All cases and petitions of whatever type are to be initiated at the Probate Counter in Room 1307 and applicable filing fees paid.  All petitions and motions are to be set for hearing regardless of whether waivers and consents are submitted.  At the Judge’s discretion, petitions with waivers and consents and ex parte petitions or motions may be adjudicated without a hearing. 

The following documents are to be filed directly with the Judges’ Offices:
    

• Answers
• Briefs
• Guardian Ad Litem Reports (may be filed via fax, using filing cover sheet)
• Petition/Motion for Show Cause with Restraining Order
• Stipulated Order for Withdrawal of Attorney (may be filed via fax, using filing cover sheet)
• Notice of Hearing
• Objections
• Proof of Service with or without Hearing Date (may be filed via fax, using filing cover sheet)
• Responses
